Tether Terms of Service

These terms apply to use of the Tether Obsidian plugin and this support site.

Use of Tether

Tether is provided to help users sync an Obsidian vault with Google Drive. Users are responsible for configuring their own Google Cloud project, choosing a sync folder, reviewing sync results, and keeping backups of important files.

Google and Obsidian Accounts

Use of Tether requires Obsidian and a Google account. Google Drive access is governed by Google's terms and policies. Obsidian use is governed by Obsidian's terms and policies. Tether is not affiliated with Google or Obsidian.

No Warranty

Tether is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Sync software can encounter conflicts, network errors, permission issues, or user configuration mistakes. Users should keep independent backups before relying on any sync workflow.

Acceptable Use

Users may not use Tether to violate laws, infringe rights, bypass access controls, or abuse Google APIs. Users are responsible for the files they choose to sync.

Changes

The plugin and these terms may be updated over time. Continued use of Tether after updates means the user accepts the updated terms.
